Archetypes

The key to knowing yourself is telling yourself the truth about why you act and react the way you do. Then you can make sense of you.
Carl Jung worked a lot with archetypes in developing his psychological theories. More recently Caroline Myss developed a tool for you to discover the 12 archetypes you have chosen for this lifetime.
We take you through a process adapted from Myss’s work not only to discover your archetypes, but to help you work with them too. This tool opens up a whole new way of viewing the world that can make your journey so much more fun. Understanding you, and the wounds you choose to carry, brings empathy and compassion into your interactions with others.
This practical course is offered in Orange Grove in group sessions, fortnightly over 4 months; a total of 8 sessions.
These 8 sessions go for only R400 per session. If you pay for the full course upfront you qualify for a 12.5% discount; an overall saving of R400. That’s a whole session free!
Spread the word amongst your friends and bring them along. For every person you bring along you will qualify for a session free, up to 2 friends. If you are a real crowd-puller then chat to us and we may arrange another group session especially for you and your peeps.
The course runs weekly for two months and many are running at any given time so please enquire as to when the next course is starting.
More on archetypes and the course…
We are all archetypical and have twelve archetypes that govern different areas of our lives. Although there are countless archetypes, which are almost like characters in a play, we have ones that we will notice throughout our lives. For example, you can identify with people who are naturally mothering and have all the traits of being a mother even if they are not one. Or there is someone whom you know who acts as though they are ruling an empire and that is how they deal with their family and friends.
On the other hand, you might notice that you always fall into low self esteem at the same times in your life or that you try to achieve one thing and the same personality trait continues to trip you up. That would be an archetypical energy that does that.
In this course we uncover your archetypes by going through a comprehensive list from which you select ones that resonate best with what you can relate to in your life. Once you have narrowed them down we facilitate your finding your twelve and we go through a fun process of putting them into the different areas of your life.
Once you have done that then you can begin to look at the neutral energy of the archetype and see how it has chosen to come alive in your life specifically. When you learn where those archetypes sit and how you bring it into the conscious (or the light) then you learn how to use it to create the life that you want.
As a personal example, Jodene has the saboteur in the house that governs her physical body and her occupation. That means that those are the two areas where she sabotages completely unconsciously: she stayed in a partnership for years and was in a career that didn’t reflect who she was at all, all while she carried over 35kg of extra weight. No matter how she tried to lose the weight or get out of the partnership she could not. It reached a point where she created a sugar imbalance in her body and medically battled to shift the weight, and she created a co-dependant partnership that made it impossible to leave. Only after she realised what it means to sabotage one’s life and learned how to tell herself the truth, face her fears and put herself first did she find the courage to leave that partnership and find new ways of losing the weight that she no longer needed.
This is life-changing work that helps you to deal better with your friends, your work colleagues and, most importantly, you.
